Now there are 150 volunteers in that city looking for more avenues with which to spread awareness about Alzheimer’s disease. Purple Pals has grown rapidly since she launched the program in Lawrence in 2018 while studying at the University of Kansas. Award winners are selected based on their participation and contribution to their communities by a panel of respected business and civic leaders. NextGen Under 30 encourages the next generation of innovative, creative, and inspiring individuals who push the boundaries in various categories of endeavor. It recognizes individuals who demonstrate talent, drive, and service to their communities. NextGen Under 30 is an award presented by the Kansas Department of Commerce. ![]() The Washburn University student is in her second year in law school. Dodge City Globe former Miss Dodge City Paige Harding was recently recognized as a Next-Gen Under 30 recipient for her work with Alzheimer’s disease and her non-profit caregiver relief program called Purple Pals.
